Covenanters ARP Church is committed foremost to the two Lord’s Day worship services. Our
worship services are simple and uncluttered, focusing on the regulative principle that only
what is prescribed by Scripture, or by good and necessary understanding can be gained from
God's Word, is to be done within corporate worship. The reading and preaching of God’s Word
is the primary focus of our service; prayer is an essential part of worship; congregational
singing of psalms and Scriptural Christian hymns; and the celebration of the two sacraments
given us by Christ: covenant Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are all included in our worship.
One service each month is set aside for the preaching and singing of the Psalms. This is
part of the rich heritage of the ARP Church and a help to know the psalms to aid us in our
praise and prayer lives.
Covenanters also offers other opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth. We have
a weekly adult Bible study and prayer time, meeting in member's homes. We have a once a
month meeting time for the youth ages 11up and a Spring and Fall session of Children's
Catechism Club for children ages 5-10. We exhort and encourage our families to have their
own daily times of devotion and through pastor/elder visits we give guidance, assistance and
care to our families.
We are striving to grow even more. We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is for all
people and are engaged in support of both home and overseas missions. We also
promote the Acts 8:4 principle of evangelism where our people are responsible to go everywhere preaching
the gospel.
